20th Century Disney Timeline

What better way to celebrate Disney in the 20th century than by
highlighting the century where it all started. 

1900

 December 5 - Walt Elias Disney is born.

The Disney Family moves to a farm outside Marceline, Missouri.

Following the failure of the Disney family farm, Walt moves with his family to Kansas City, Missouri, where he works as a newspaper carrier.

Walt enrolls at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Family moves back to Chicago. Walt graduates from Benton Grammer School in Kansas City and enrolls at McKinley High School in Chicago.

Fall - Disney drops out of high school and joins the Red Cross Ambulance Corps as a driver. He serves in France during WWI.

Disney leaves the service, and becomes an apprentice for a commercial art studio in Kansas City.

Laugh-O-Gram Films goes bankrupt. Walt Disney company is founded with partner Roy Disney.
